Dundee, located on the northern shore of the Firth of Tay in Scotland, is a city with a rich history dating back to the Iron Age. Home to about 158,000 people, it was the scene of significant historical events in the Middle Ages, such as the recapture of the castle by William Wallace. During the Industrial Revolution, it became renowned for its production of jute, jam, and journalism. Today, it is a hub of science and technology with two universities and the RRS Discovery museum. It's best visited in summer, when average temperatures range from 15 to 20 °C.
